“You can’t be serious…” Celia said, her sunken eyes staring at him in disbelief.

“Don’t you want to see him again?”

“You know I do, but—”

“ReGenesis can give that to us! I was over at their office earlier and it’s really quite simple actually,” he brought up the holo-projections for her to look at.

“Nolan!” her voice broke, “Don’t.”

“Just look, please. Look at how much they’ve been able to do for others already! They even gave me a sample,” he explained as Aiden suddenly appeared before them. “See? Doesn’t it look just like him? It even sounds like him.”

She waved her arm to break the illusion, tears streaming down her face, “But it’s not him! It will never be our boy!” Celia slumped down onto the couch. “Just stop. Please.”

Nolan stared blankly at his wife, “I-I only…I only wanted him to be with us again. I just wanted to see him. If only I hadn’t. If only I—”

“But you did.”

“I know…”

“Just go. I can’t do this anymore.”

“I know.”
